How long does the eye examination take?
It takes approximately 2 hours.
During this time, we perform a full series of diagnostic tests, including vision testing, corneal evaluation, glaucoma screening, and retinal examination, to thoroughly assess your eye health.
When should I stop wearing contact lenses before the examination?
To ensure accurate diagnostic results, please discontinue wearing your lenses as follows:
Soft contact lenses: stop 3 days before your exam
Hard contact lenses (RGP): stop 7 days before your exam
Orthokeratology lenses (Ortho-K / overnight lenses): stop 14 days before your exam
These timeframes allow your cornea to return to its natural shape, which is essential for precise measurements.
How long does the surgery take?
The overall visit takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.
The actual procedure itself is completed in about 5 minutes, but additional time is needed for several pre-surgical diagnostic tests, so please allow at least one hour for the entire process.
